Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Abbottabad was established in 1990. BISE Abbottabad has the authority to conduct matric and intermediate class exams in the districts of Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Kohistan and Battagram. All the public and private schools and colleges in these districts are affiliated with Abbottabad Board while thousands of registered public and private students participate in the SSC and HSSC exams under BISE Abbottabad every year.

In the districts mentioned above, all the schools and colleges starts admission and registration process in matric and intermediate classes couple of months before the start of the new academic year. New academic session for 9th and 10th class starts in April while academic year for 11th and 12th class in colleges start in September every year. The admission process is completed by the schools and colleges according to the schedule.

Model papers and past papers are very important for the students of BISE Abbottabad as they can know about the new paper pattern of matric and intermediate classes through model papers which is adopted by the board while past papers inform the students about the types of questions asked by the board previously. Model papers can be downloaded from the official site of the board while past papers can be taken from market.

BISE Abbottabad issues date sheets of the exams two months earlier than the start of the exams. SSC exams start in March while HSSC exams begin in May. Date sheets are available at official site of the board. Roll no. slips are issued one month before the start of the exams while they contain information about examination venue, time table and roll number of the candidates. The board mails the roll number slips to the addresses of the students.

After two or three months of the matric and intermediate annual exams, Abbottabad Board announces the results of students. These results are uploaded at the site of the board immediately while the students can also get their result cards at their addresses few days after the declaration of the results.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Abbottabad has the mandate to conduct BISE Abbottabad 5th & 8th classes annual exams 2024 in the government schools. The candidates send their application forms in time and also pay the fee so that they can appear in their Abbottabad Board primary & middle classes annual exams 2024.
